New Chief Executive Officer in Machinery Oy
Marjukka Virkki (MSc,eMBA) has been appointed to CEO of Machinery Oy effective by 1 April 2018. Marjukka comes from ABB where she had long career in global and domestic senior leadership positions latest as SVP, Service business in ABB Finland. Marjukka has wide experience and knowhow of manufacturing and service business and she is well acquainted with Finnish industry.
“Marjukka Virkki is a proven leader with strong management skills, business vision and the ability to bring people together around common goals,” said Simon Hallqvist, Chairman of the Board and continues, “Marjukka’s role is now to further leverage our company’s strong assets, and together with the team and our partners move the company forward. Iam looking forward to working with her.”
Richard Bergström will step down as Chief Executive Officer effective immediately. “Richard has managed Machinery through our first phase of integration. His departure is by mutual agreement and the Board is grateful for his contribution to the company. The steps taken during Richard’s tenure have created a solid foundation to build on,” concludes Simon Hallqvist.
